Every 20 minutes or so take your eyes off of your computer screen, focus on an object that is about 20 feet away, and continue focusing on this object for about 20 seconds. This rule is called the 20-20-20 rule and will give your eyes a break as well as relieve some of your symptoms of digital strain.
#2 Reduce the glare
The glare coming from your computer screen is hard on your eyes for extended periods of time. Reduce this glare whenever possible by using non-reflective interfaces. If you have the option to read from paper rather than the computer then take it. When you have to look at your screen, make sure that it is at a 90-degree angle away from any direct light. #3 Adjust your contrast settings
Too high of contrast will bother your eyes while too little will strain them as well. Adjust the contrast settings on your computer to find the right balance.
#4 Adjust your color settings
Try adjusting the color settings on your computer to those that best fit your vision. It is best to use full-spectrum lighting, as this makes things easier to see and reduces stress on your eyes.
